Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Pets is a special service of Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Homes & Cremation Center located in Bellefontaine, Ohio and serving Logan, Shelby, Champaign, Union, Hardin, Auglaize and other counties. Our PETS ONLY Crematory and caring staff is dedicated to providing you with quality professional service to help you through this difficult time. 


We are pet parents too and we understand the special bond between people and our beloved pets. Our mission is to provide you with the peace of mind that comes from knowing your final farewell is filled with the respect and dignity they deserve. We understand that saying good-bye is never easy. Let us help with this final act of love.

Our Services

We own & operate our own “pet only” crematory on our Bellefontaine Funeral Home Campus

Prices effective 7/1/2022 and subject to change without prior notice.

  • 0—4 Pounds: $79
  • 5—35 Pounds: $129
  • 36—75 Pounds: $179
  • 76—125 Pounds: $229
  • 126—200 Pounds: $279
  • 201+ Pounds: $329
  • Documented Service Animals: $50
  • Office Hours are Monday - Friday from 9am to 4pm




ALL Cremation Fees include:


  • Individual Private Cremation
  • Wooden Urn with Customized Engraving
  • Fur Clipping*
  • Ink Paw Print*
  • Certificate of Cremation


*There are some circumstances which prevent us from obtaining a paw print or fur clipping.


Additional Options


  • After Hours Fee (after 4pm Weekday or any Weekend): $50
  • Holiday Fee (any holiday): $150
  • Pet Pick Up from Logan County Vet Office (during business hours): No Charge
  • Pet Pick up from Residence (Logan/Champaign/Shelby County): $150
  • Pet Pick up after 4pm or Weekend/Holiday: $200
  • Additional Paw Print or Fur Clipping: $5
  • Request for Same-Day Cremation: $95
  • Custom pet urns and keepsakes are available from $10 & up

Frequent Questions

  • What is included in the cremation service?

    Each private pet cremation will be returned to the family in a handcrafted wooded urn with an engraved name plate included in the cost. You will also be provided with a certificate of cremation.

  • How do I know the pet returned to me is actually my pet?

    Just like human cremation, pets are given a stainless-steel ID disc that identifies your pet and because we perform all pet cremations ON-SITE by professionally trained staff, we can guarantee you are receiving your pet.

  • How long does the cremation process take?

    We make every effort to make daily visits to the veterinarian offices and return averages about 3 business days.
